We currently have an opportunity for a well-rounded and seasoned Pastry Cook III to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort opening team! You will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic culinary experiences for our guests.  

Responsibilities

  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with the pastry team, collaborating to achieve common objectives.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Follow and strictly abide by the state sanitation/health regulations and hotel requirements.
  • Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
  • Understand and use equipment correctly, keeping it well-maintained.
  • Always maintain positive guest relations

Additional Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stopping. Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Perform additional duties in other areas of the Kitchen as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous luxury hotel experience or related work experience
  • Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal
  • High school diploma, or equivalent, completion of vocational or trade school program.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow recipes
