Overview

Outbound Mammoth is hiring an on-site Marketing Manager that will manage the planning, execution and reporting on all aspects of marketing for the property. Activities including digital media agency oversight, website updates, email marketing, social media strategy (in partnership with the Head of Culture and Experience), public relations management, collateral production, promotions and special events support and preparing reports and presentations. 

 

This position executes the overall marketing programs for Outbound Mammoth in partnership with the Director of Sales, General Manager and the Head of Culture and Experience for Outbound Mammoth. Please note that this is not a remote role. 

Responsibilities

  • Creation and implementation of the annual and ongoing marketing and media plans for the hotel and restaurants, both internally and externally.
  • Manage integrated campaigns, launches, and other complex projects end-to-end
  • Responsible for the accuracy of all information on websites, collateral and advertising that promotes the hotel and other revenue outlets
  • In coordination with the Head of Culture and Experience, mange social media platforms including content calendars and creation
  • Coordinates and manages photo shoots
  • Uses Brand marketing/promotional opportunities to drive revenue
  • Manage the creative, digital marketing, website and public relations agencies.
  • Uses website analytics to determine advertising ROI and insights into opportunities to create additional revenue
  • Maintain CRM program (transactional and marketing communications) and work closely with operations teams to ensure data capture is consistent and accurate
  • Assist in the creation and management of all hotel and restaurant marketing materials, collateral development and advertising including review of design creative and copy.
  • Partner with the Outbound Hotels marketing team for Outbound Mammoth execution of all brand level promotions
  • Work with public relations agency on press releases including special achievements, activities or events that relate to the hotel and restaurants as well as materials distribution, scheduling reservations, arranging transportation, etc.
  • Interface and strategize with the Food & Beverage team to promote individual branding and increase local and hotel guest usage for the food and beverage outlets
  • In coordination with the Head of Culture and Experience, manage the execution of media events and promotions including social influencer visits.
  • Assist in planning, promotion and coordinating special events including but not limited to guest appreciation events, holiday/seasonal events, and outdoor activities.
  • Create lead generation programs for meetings & events (Groups, Catering)
  • Execute Restaurant, Bars and nightlife marketing promotions
  • Involvement in preparation of Sales and Marketing expense budgets.
  • Support Sales and Catering teams with appropriate collateral and marketing materials.
  • Attend Revenue Strategy, AROC meetings, Digital Marketing calls, PR calls and Manager Meetings and help communicate strategies, tactics and measurable results.
  • Maintain monthly reporting for marketing activities across all assets.
  • Track campaign benchmarks and KPIs to ensure success and optimize campaigns as needed
  • Stay on top of industry trends to ensure properties are at the cutting-edge of hospitality services
  • Participate in community organizations including Visit Mammoth, the community board, Mammoth Lakes CVB and others.
  • Maintain records of all hotel awards and recognitions
  • Additional marketing tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Four + years of marketing work experience; in hospitality required
  • Knowledge of the operations of the hotel industry
  • Dynamic, enthusiastic, creative leader who thrives under pressure and is able to perform multiple functions and troubleshoot when needed
  • Ability to identify trends when production is not meeting budget expectations and implement solutions
  • Highly developed customer service skills with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient knowledge of print and digital production, social media marketing, and digital marketing including SEO, PPC and Remarketing and Public Relations
  • Understanding fundamentals of both B2B and B2C marketing.
  • Comfort with establishing KPIs, ongoing measurement, pivoting based on data, and communicating outcomes to stakeholders with varying levels of digital acumen
  • High degree of organization, attention to details and level of professional conduct. Self-starter, ambitious and multi-tasker.
  • Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, additional language ability is a plus, however, not required.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Creative and graphic skills, desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including night, weekends and holidays

Must be capable of answering phones and using a computer.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to indoor working environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually low.

Wage range: $71k-$75k

This position is for a January 2025 start date.
