The Director of Catering and Conference Services serves as the primary leader for the scheduling, planning, organization, and management of events that take place at The Woodlands Hotels (The Woodlands Resort, The Westin at The Woodlands and The Embassy Suites in Hughes Landing) , with central responsibility and management of internal & external clients that use The Woodlands Hotels for events. These events include, but are not limited to, in-house meetings, corporate meetings, parties, galas, weddings, corporate and non-profit trainings, etc. This position is responsible for managing the Catering/Conference Services team as well as making quarterly catering sales goals for all properties.
3 or more years as Director of Catering and/or Conference Services highly preferred.
Requires knowledge of principles and practices within the food profession.
Knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing plans, human resources, budget forecasting, etc. is highly preferred.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays.
