Overview

The Account Receivable Representative is responsible for primarily reconciling balance sheet accounts and assisting with month-end journal entries and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Daily review of A/R Accounts and provide detailed invoice billing for Group/Event programs and guest inquiries.
  • Assist with the month-end close process by providing A/R Reports and ensuring all past due accounts are current and are under the 30 days collection status.
  • Maintains groups and events contracts & billing.
  • Code and submit miscellaneous invoices for payment.
  • Review incoming Chargebacks and dispute accordingly.
  • Tax exemption reconciliation/Submission of direct bill applications.
  • Responds to inquiries from guests and another dept. requests in the hotel.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two or four-year degree in accounting preferred.
  • At least two years of General Ledger and high-volume accounting experience is required.
  • Prior hotel/resort experience preferred.
  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit.
  • Must have strong financial competence.
  • Must be able to perform in a highly confidential environment.
  • Must have strong computer skills.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and Outlook.
