Overview

You will be an integral member of the team that actively solicits and handles inquiries of groups that exceed 10 guestrooms per night. You will participate in the continuing effort to deliver tailored solutions and nurture lasting relationships with our customers with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable the achievement of optimum sales objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Be a pillar of organization and master of systems in the sales office assisting the Sales Team in their pursuit of revenue generation
  • With an innovative mindset, identify and enthusiastically create new contacts and develop sales leads through phone solicitation/prospecting, sales calls, trade shows, etc. Some travel may be required.
  • Understand fully the hotel amenities, venues, and options and provide recommendations to create authentic experiences for our groups.
  • Anticipate our guests' needs and respond promptly.
  • Create, execute, and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposals, writing contracts, and customer correspondence).
  • Foster positive and productive relationships with all team members of Lake Nona Hotels.
  • Create memorable experiences with a warm, welcoming personality that can relate to guests and all other departments.
  • Utilize the freedom to go beyond to take initiative to resolve guest opportunities and create loyalty.
  • Share your personal passions and knowledge of the services and amenities available to guests to help them feel comfortable, at home, and value.
  • Collaborate with team members to communicate what you see and hear to staff and management to ensure the guests’ needs are met.
  • Promptly answer telephones and enthusiastically greet our guests with your personal spirit, however busy and whatever time of day.
  • Attend all meetings as assigned by sales leadership.
  • Conduct enthusiastic property site tours showcasing the features of each of your hotels paired with the benefits tailored to the customers individual wants and needs.
  • Exhibits flexibility and adaptability to the changing and evolving needs of the operation and other duties as assigned by leadership within the scope of the role

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of previous hotel operations or sales experience required.
  • Maintain a professional and positive demeanor.
  • Proficient working knowledge of computers in a windows environment.
  • Ability to learn and master TripleSeat (CRM) and Fosse (PMS) and all other applications and systems as assigned.
  • Proven accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage workload efficiently, prioritizing tasks effectively to adhere to deadlines as determined by customers, sales team, and leadership.
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven sales and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to function as part of a team.
  • Capable of setting priorities when multiple demands exist.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various teams across multiple properties.

Flexibility. This is a demanding business, and it requires you managing multiple priorities while meeting varying deadlines, but it’s also a lot of fun!

Experience. Previous experience passionately providing service to others and providing administrative support in a team-oriented environment, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

People Person. The best part of serving others is creating experiences for them that go beyond the expected.  To succeed in this role, you must enjoy interacting with others. 

Great communicator. Providing amazing experiences requires the ability to communicate fluently in English both verbally and through excellent written communication.
