You will be an integral part of the team by excelling in consistently providing meeting products to the property’s clients, focusing on proper meeting set-ups, breakdowns, and configurations. As a Part-Time Banquet Houseperson, you will focus on creating, maintaining, and improving the customer image of Wave Hotel. This will be conducted through customer service oriented with a positive attitude, openness, willingness to learn, and a desire to be held accountable and contribute to a team’s organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to read and follow BEO
• Ensure cleanliness of banquet rooms and surrounding areas
• Ability to clean banquet space using cleaning machine and chemical product
• Set up tables, chairs, and other supplies
• Tear down and set up the meeting and event rooms, daily
• To inspect all public areas (foyer, assembly areas, restrooms) for cleanliness and pleasing appearance
• Inspects each function room prior to, and during breaks to ensure that all requirements reflected on the daily banquet event order are met.
• Maintains a constant awareness of safety issues
• Always ensuring a ‘Member Ready’ appearance, proper uniforms are worn, and departmental service standards are maintained
• Basic knowledge of wine, beer, spirits, glassware, garnishes, and beverage service techniques
• Ability to run food & drinks in a fast-paced environment.

• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
• Dynamic, enthusiastic, and creative who thrives under pressure and can perform multiple functions and troubleshoot when needed.
• Highly developed customer service skills with strong attention to detail.
• Continuously strive for complete guest satisfaction – including cooperating with guests and others for last-minute changes/additions
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to set up and identified the different banquet room sets

Working Environment/Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

• While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to walk & stand, 6-10 hours per day, and may have exposure to basic cleaning chemicals.
• The team member is frequently required to climb and use balance. Additionally, they will be asked to use their hands and arms to reach, carry, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs most of the day.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.

• While performing the duties of this job, the team member will experience temperature fluctuations (rain, wind, heat, humidity), and moderate to high noise levels.
