The Director of Operations will oversee and drive all aspects of our daily operational vacation rental business in Wailea. You will ensure smooth and efficient processes, exceptional owner and guest experiences, and operational cost management. You will lead, motivate, and guide a fantastic team including housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services. This role will collaborate closely with various departments including owner services, marketing, and finance to optimize daily operations and contribute to the long-term success of the company.

 

The salary range for this position is 85K-$110K per year based on experience, with an additional company performance bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to your team to keep them motivated, aligned, and engaged.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations for the vacation rental portfolio ensuring the residences are well-maintained, clean, and ready for guests and owners.
  • Ensure guests have exceptional, and memorable experiences. Handle guest challenges or issues promptly, aiming for full guest satisfaction and resolution.
  • Communicate and build relationships with owners to ensure continued participation in our rental program and to assist in acquisition of new residences.
  • Analyze, create and implement processes and metrics to boost efficiency, optimize revenue, and reduce expenses.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for services.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration or related filed preferred.
  • Seven to ten years working in vacation rental or hotels with strong guest service and operational experience. Preferable four or five-diamond properties.
  • Three to five years of vacation rental or hotel management experience.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to communicate with the team, guests, and owners with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Proficient with operational software, property management systems and other related technology.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of local vacation rental industry a plus.
  • Must have a valid Hawaii Driver’s License and be insurable within the CoralTree Residence Collection system.
