Job Summary:

 

The Basalt Fine Dining Supervisor at Black Desert Resort is responsible for overseeing front-of-house operations, ensuring the highest levels of service and hospitality. Reporting to the Basalt General Manager, this position supports daily service execution, staff training, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. The Fine Dining Supervisor plays a critical role in upholding Basalt’s reputation for excellence while fostering a team culture focused on hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Onsite: Black Desert Resort – Basalt Restaurant
Shift & Schedule Availability: Year-Round / Full-Time
Pay Rate: $24 - $28/hr. This is the pay rate we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise front-of-house service during dinner operations, ensuring seamless and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Train, mentor, and oversee front-of-house staff, maintaining high service standards and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure proper food presentation and timely service.
  • Assist in scheduling, labor cost management, and daily shift planning to optimize efficiency.
  • Address and resolve guest concerns, ensuring complete satisfaction and personalized service.
  • Lead pre-shift meetings, communicating menu updates, wine pairings, and service expectations.
  • Monitor inventory and assist in ordering supplies, including wine, glassware, and service essentials.
  • Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, ensuring compliance with resort and industry standards.
  • Support special events, wine dinners, and VIP guest experiences.
  • Work closely with the Basalt General Manager to implement service improvements and elevate the fine dining experience.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of fine dining or upscale restaurant experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a passion for hospitality and guest service.
  • Knowledge of fine dining service standards, wine pairings, and upscale food presentation.
  • Ability to train and motivate staff to deliver an elevated dining experience.
  • Proficiency in POS systems, reservations software, and inventory management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage service flow.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
