Location: Sandy's Pub, Everline Resort & Spa, Lake Tahoe, CA

Job Overview:
Everline Resort & Spa in beautiful Lake Tahoe is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join our team at Sandy's Pub. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the food and beverage services, maintaining high standards, and supporting the overall financial success of the establishment.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Food & Beverage Manager in overseeing daily operations at Sandy's Pub, ensuring efficient service and guest satisfaction.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate front-of-house staff, ensuring adherence to service standards and company policies.
  • Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in all food and beverage areas, complying with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage staff schedules and oversee payroll, optimizing labor to meet business needs and financial goals.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for orders, minimizing waste and ensuring product quality.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of the department's budget, forecasting expenses, and working to maximize profitability.
  • Address guest inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Support in marketing initiatives and special events to increase foot traffic and sales at Sandy’s Pub.
  • Oversee daily financial transactions, including cash handling, credit card payments, and end-of-shift reports.
  • Collaborate with other resort departments to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of food and beverage experience, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines; valid Food Handler’s Certificate and RBS Certification required.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and optimize operational efficiency.
  • High school diploma required; a two- or four-year degree in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business needs.
