Overview

The Pasta Production/ Baking and Pastry Prep Cook oversees all aspects of their selected station with the highest standards of responsibility, professionalism, organization and dedication while working closely with the Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine and Sous- Chef to create fresh handmade  pasta, bread, and pastries. 

Responsibilities

Experience with cooking and baking from scratch/crafting/portioning/ in small, medium, large scales is fundamental and a must requirement.

Applicants must have excellent track records, be highly dedicated with high sense of responsibility, professionally driven, career minded and have a positive history of managing, blend and maintain a smooth and respectful social working balance.
Candidates must be very open minded in learning, absorbing and understanding a new and modern interpretation of authentic Italian cuisine while following recipes and specific directions while crafting various preparation by cooking machines/equipment as well as by hand. 

 

 

Qualifications

-Experience with quality/consistency concepts is fundamental and a must requirement.

-Demonstrated ability to work in high pressure situations with consistent outstanding results while meeting production deadlines
-Minimum 2 years of culinary experience.

-Ability to participate as part of a team at any time and at any level needed.

-Solicit and accept feedback and direction from multiple chefs and managers.
-Requires developed English communication skills, both verbal and written.
-Ability to work independently, multi-task and manage time effectively.
-Ability to maintain quality standards to produce a consistent product.
-Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
-Ability to cover shifts as needed beyond the regular schedule.

- Ability to use cooking machinery such as kettle pan cookers, Combi and convection ovens, mixers blenders, and various small ware kitchen equipment.

-Ability to stand, walk continuously perform essential functions for an extended period of time.

-Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations; distinguish product, taste, texture, and presentation; and observe preparation.
