Overview

Town and Country Resort is a premier San Diego destination, offering 671 guest rooms and nearly 300,000 square feet of meeting space. As a key member of our finance team, the Payroll Manager will oversee all payroll functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in processing payroll for our dedicated team members. The Payroll Manager is responsible for managing and processing payroll in a timely and accurate manner while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. This role involves handling payroll-related reporting, auditing, and system maintenance while serving as the primary point of contact for payroll inquiries. Pay Rate $80,000.00 Yr. #TowncountrySD

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and process bi-weekly payroll for all resort employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Audit payroll data, including timekeeping records, deductions, and benefits, to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper processing of wage garnishments, tax withholdings, and other deductions.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and Finance teams on payroll-related matters, including new hires, terminations, and compensation adjustments.
  • Generate and submit payroll reports, including tax filings, labor cost analysis, and financial reconciliations.
  • Stay updated on payroll-related legislation and implement necessary updates to maintain compliance.
  • Manage year-end payroll processes, including W-2 and ACA reporting.
  • Provide payroll-related guidance and training to managers and employees as needed.
  • Work with external vendors and auditors as required for payroll compliance and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of payroll management experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including wage and hour laws.
  • Experience with payroll software and timekeeping systems (ADP, UKG, or similar preferred).
  • Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.
  • Ability to stand-sit for long periods of time.
