The Engineering Department is responsible for maintaining the resort’s infrastructure, ensuring all systems operate efficiently to provide an exceptional guest experience.

 

Job Summary:

 

The Engineer at Red Mountain Resort is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on the resort’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, this position ensures the safety, functionality, and efficiency of all resort facilities while responding to guest and operational needs in a timely manner. The Engineer plays a vital role in preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and supporting overall resort operations.

Onsite: Red Mountain Resort
Shift & Schedule Availability: Year-Round / Full-Time

Pay Rate: $18 - $20/hr. This is the pay rate we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
  • Respond to guest service requests and operational maintenance needs in a professional and timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot and repair kitchen, laundry, and fitness equipment, as well as general resort infrastructure.
  • Assist in maintaining swimming pools, spa facilities, irrigation systems, and outdoor features as needed.
  • Conduct inspections and document maintenance activities to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, fire safety codes, and resort policies.
  • Maintain an inventory of tools, parts, and supplies, ensuring availability for routine maintenance.
  • Work closely with housekeeping and front desk teams to resolve facility-related guest concerns.
  • Support the Chief Engineer in capital improvement projects and large-scale facility upgrades.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance, facilities management, or engineering in a hospitality, commercial, or residential setting.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, proactive approach.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Experience with energy management and sustainability initiatives is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of fire suppression, alarm systems, and safety codes.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and on-call availability for emergencies.
