Overview

CoralTree Hospitality is seeking an experienced Director of Rooms & Engineering to join our home office team in Englewood, CO. This key leadership role will oversee rooms operations while focusing on technical operations, and safety procedures and protocols across our portfolio. The Director of Engineering & Rooms will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and maintaining high standards for safety procedures, preventative maintenance, and compliance within the engineering discipline, while also ensuring excellence in overall guest room operations. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with property teams to enhance performance, drive efficiency, and uphold our commitment to quality and service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support rooms operations across multiple properties, ensuring service excellence and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee engineering leaders with a focus on safety procedures, preventative maintenance programs, and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor engineering and safety protocols to enhance guest and employee safety across all properties.
  • Conduct on-site property visits to assess operational effectiveness, engineering compliance, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with property-level teams to provide guidance on rooms and maintenance strategies, capital planning, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding engineering, building codes, and safety standards.
  • Support property leaders in developing training programs for rooms and engineering teams to uphold best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Partner with leadership to analyze operational data, identify trends, and recommend improvements in engineering and rooms operations.
  • Serve as a key liaison between the home office and property-level teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in hospitality operations, with a focus on rooms, engineering, or operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Hospitality Management, or a related field a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering safety protocols, preventative maintenance programs, and compliance regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple properties with travel up to 50%.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Experience working in an ownership or asset management environment is a plus.

Salary range: $160,000 - $180,000
