Overview

Responsible for all guest service functions, for maintaining bell station, greeting guests, handling guest luggage, providing directions and assisting with transportation arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet guests, open vehicle and property doors. Direct to Front Desk for assistance with check-in process.
  • Assist Valet staff obtain guest and vehicle information, secure vehicle keys.
  • Provide assistance removing luggage from guest vehicles, provide luggage tags, store when necessary. Upon check-out assist loading luggage onto vehicle and inquire about their stay. If necessary, assist guests in locating their luggage.
  • Determine and confirm exiting guests needs with directions, drive up of their vehicle, taxicabs or transportation shuttles. Direct to designated pick up locations.
  • Clean and inspect bell carts/ trucks, report malfunctioning equipment to supervisor/manager.
  • Monitor traffic and professionally direct to ensure all vehicles are moving in an orderly fashion.
  • Advise guests of appropriate parking procedures, ensure all driveways and loading zones are clear and vehicles are not left in illegal parking spaces.
  • Possess familiarity of city streets, highways and local attractions, provide exact directions to guests.
  • Assist in training employees in proper use of equipment.
  • Promptly report all emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles and safety hazards to management.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures including appearance standards, time and attendance practices and safety and security rules.
  • Report unsafe conditions to supervisor/manager.
  • Perform any related duties as requested by supervisor/manager.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Texas driver’s license required
  • Professional, positive attitude and actions when communicating with guests and team members.
  • Knowledge of hotel and the city.
  • Ability to understand and obey all traffic rules, speed limits and federal, state and local driving regulations.
  • Ability to operate a computer, printer, copier, and telephone.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient while maintaining a pleasant cheerful demeanor.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent and graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities. HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred, but not required
