Overview

At Town and Country Hotel, we believe in creating unforgettable guest experiences, and our poolside restaurant is where the fun happens! We’re looking for a warm, friendly, and energetic Hostess to be the first smiling face our guests see as they arrive for delicious bites and refreshing drinks by the pool.You will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic experiences for our guests. At LAPPER You will be responsible for greeting and seating guests, overseeing dining room maintenance, and monitoring service to ensure guest satisfaction. Pay Rate $17.25 #Towncountrysd

 

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with a welcoming smile and a friendly attitude
  • Manage the seating chart and efficiently seat guests to maximize flow and service
  • Maintain waitlists and communicate estimated wait times to guests
  • Assist with reservations and coordinate large parties when needed
  • Keep the host stand clean, organized, and fully stocked with menus
  • Communicate effectively with servers, bussers, and managers to ensure smooth service
  • Provide guests with basic menu knowledge and answer any questions about the restaurant
  • Assist with light cleaning duties as needed to maintain a polished and inviting entrance area

Qualifications

  • A friendly and professional demeanor with great communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • A team player with a positive attitude and strong customer service skills
  • Previous hosting experience is a plus but not required—we’ll train the right person!
  • Food handler's card and RBS Certification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per shift)
  • Comfortable working in an outdoor setting with exposure to sun, heat, and varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally (moving menus, high chairs, or small furniture adjustments)
  • Ability to bend, reach, and move quickly to accommodate guest needs
