Overview

At Town and Country Hotel, our poolside restaurant is where great food meets sunshine and good vibes! We’re looking for a Food Runner who can bring the energy, move with speed, and keep our guests happy by delivering delicious food with a smile. If you thrive in a fast-paced, outdoor environment and love being part of a dynamic team, this is the role for you! At LAPPER The Food Runner is responsible for working with the expo to assure prompt delivery of the food that is ready in the “hot” and “cold” windows in the kitchen. The Food Runner is responsible for delivery to the tables in the Food and Beverage Outlet. The Food Runner and expo work both together and independently to assure that every plate looks correct and to deliver hot/cold food in a timely manner to the guests in all outlets. The Food Runner together with the service staff is responsible for bringing any additional items the guests need to complete their meal. Pay Rate $17.25 #towncountrysd

Responsibilities

Checks each plate of food to be correct as ordered by the guest. Makes sure all condiments are accompanying each order. Assures that every item on the order is ready and on the tray together. Works diligently to avoid breakage and loss. Notifies server of guest needs. Completes all opening, on-going, and closing side work and manager on duty as signed off on work. Stocks/restocks appropriate linens for service. Stocks/restocks work stations with appropriate plates and saucers, etc. Informs server of any potential guest issues. Provides general resort information for guests.

Qualifications

  • A fast-moving team player with a positive and energetic attitude
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a high-volume, outdoor dining setting
  • Previous restaurant experience preferred, but not required—we’ll train the right candidate!
  • Food handler's card and RBS certificate

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (6-8 hours per shift)
  • Comfortable working in an outdoor setting with exposure to sun, heat, and varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry trays of food (up to 30 lbs)
  • Ability to move quickly and navigate through a busy restaurant floor
