Position Overview:
Everline Resort & Spa is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Lead Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook IIII, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in accordance with our resort's standards and ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction. You will work alongside a talented kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook food items to the standards set by the Executive Chef, following recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner, maintaining the highest level of food quality and consistency.
  • Assist with food preparation for banquets, events, and high-volume service periods.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Follow portion control guidelines to minimize food waste.
  • Collaborate with other line cooks, chefs, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Monitor food stock levels and notify supervisors of any shortages or ordering needs.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff.
  • Ensure that all food items are properly stored, labeled, and rotated (FIFO).
  • Follow safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at all times.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a line cook in a high-volume, upscale kitchen or resort setting.
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and consistency.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and strong communication skills.
  • Culinary degree or certification is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
