Overview

Town and Country Resort is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Banquet Director to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless execution of banquet events, including setup, service, and beverage management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. Responsibilities

  • Banquet Setup: Oversee the preparation and arrangement of banquet rooms, ensuring all equipment and decorations are correctly installed and meet event specifications.
  • Banquet Service: Coordinate and supervise banquet staff to provide high-quality service during events. Ensure all guests receive prompt and courteous service.
  • Beverage Management: Manage the banquet beverage program, including inventory control, menu planning, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in planning and executing events, working closely with clients to understand their needs and ensure their satisfaction.
  • Staff Training: Train and mentor banquet staff, fostering a team environment and promoting professional development.
  • Budget Management: Assist in managing budgets, including labor costs, beverage costs, and inventory.
  • Customer Service: Handle guest inquiries and complaints efficiently, ensuring a positive experience for all attendees.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in banquet setup, service, and beverage management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to work long shifts as needed.
  • Weekend and Holiday Availability is required.
  • Ability to lift and pull at least 50lbs.
  • Ability to walk around most part of the daily shift.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food and beverage service.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., push, pull, and carry equipment and materials.
  • Frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces.
  • Comfortable working in hot, cold, and outdoor conditions as needed.
