Overview

Black Desert Resort, Southern Utah’s luxury hospitality destination, is proud to host the Black Desert Championship – an official LPGA Tour event. We are seeking energetic, guest-focused Banquet Bartenders to join our team during this exciting, high-profile tournament. This is a temporary position supporting the event week with required paid training prior to the tournament.

 

Job Summary:

 

The Banquet Bartender will provide exceptional bar service during tournament-related banquet events, including VIP receptions, and private functions. This role requires strong service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining the luxury service standards of Black Desert Resort.

 

Job Specifications:

 

Onsite: Black Desert Resort
Shift & Schedule Availability: Temporary | Shifts available from April 28- May 4
Event Dates: April 28 – May 4, 2025
Training: Paid training is required and will be scheduled prior to tournament week
Pay Rate: $9/hr plus service charges

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate mobile and fixed bars in designated banquet or event locations.
  • Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with resort recipes and safety guidelines.
  • Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and timely service to guests, maintaining a polished demeanor.
  • Monitor alcohol consumption and follow responsible alcohol service standards.
  • Restock bar inventory, clean bar areas, and maintain organization throughout the shift.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately using resort POS systems.
  • Communicate effectively with banquet servers, event managers, and kitchen staff.
  • Support setup and breakdown of bar stations, including transporting supplies and glassware.
  • Maintain sanitation standards and ensure all bar equipment is cleaned and stored properly.

Qualifications

  • Previous bartending experience in banquet, catering, or high-volume hospitality settings preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, and beer service.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Must meet legal age requirements for alcohol service and possess required certifications.
  • Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, and long shifts during the event week.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining exceptional guest service standards.
