The Engineering & Facilities team is essential in maintaining the comfort, safety, and functionality of the resort’s physical environment.

 

Job Summary:

 

The Maintenance Supervisor at Red Mountain Resort is responsible for assisting the Chief Engineer in overseeing daily operations of the maintenance team and ensuring all guest rooms, public areas, systems, and facilities are operating at optimal standards. This hands-on role includes supervising maintenance technicians, conducting repairs, scheduling preventative maintenance, and ensuring safety protocols are followed throughout the property.

Shift & Schedule Availability: Year-Round / Full-Time
Pay Range: $22 – $24/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support the daily operations of the engineering team, including work assignments and project oversight
  • Perform and oversee repairs and maintenance of HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and resort amenities
  • Conduct routine property inspections and address safety concerns or urgent repair needs
  • Assist in managing preventive maintenance schedules and ensuring completion
  • Help train and onboard new maintenance staff and provide ongoing support
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work orders, inspections, and maintenance logs
  • Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance requests and guest concerns promptly
  • Ensure all maintenance procedures follow OSHA, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Support inventory tracking and ordering of parts, tools, and materials
  • Report major issues or facility concerns to the Chief Engineer in a timely manner

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance or engineering experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
  • Previous hospitality or resort experience preferred
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and time-management skills
  • Familiarity with maintenance software and reporting tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various indoor/outdoor conditions
  • Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts
  • Valid Utah driver’s license with acceptable driving record required
