Overview

The Lake House is seeking an enthusiastic and service-driven Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team. The Lake House at Sunriver Resort offers a unique and relaxing dining experience with panoramic views and a laid-back, lodge-inspired atmosphere. The F&B Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the designated Food & Beverage team. S/he will work with the team to ensure guest satisfaction and optimum performance. They will assist in maintaining the AAA Four Diamond Standards.

 

The Outlet Supervisor will always conduct them self in manner which supports the guiding principles of Destination Hotels & Resorts: Trust, Open & Honest Communication, and Commitment. The Outlet Supervisor shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. S/he will be responsible for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture as well as promoting Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction
  • Assists the manager with leading and supervising the outlet team
  • Ensures supplies are properly stocked; assists with ordering supplies as necessary
  • Assists with coordinating inventory control
  • Utilizes labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs
  • Assists manager with new hire and termination paperwork
  • Participates in staff meetings and agenda
  • Attends mandatory monthly department meetings and appropriate resort and division meetings
  • Reports any needed repair immediately to Maintenance using correct procedures
  • Ensures proper bookkeeping and resort policies are followed
  • Responsible for daily reports and manager log book entries
  • Performs restaurant staff duties as necessary
  • Maintains a safe and pleasant work environment
  • Assists the Food & Beverage Director with preparing and monitoring budget of expenditures and projected incomes
  • Monitors associate time punches in the Timesaver
  • Instills a calm, organized approach in all stressful situations
  • Works with HR to recruit and hire cafe staff
  • Acts as the Manager on Duty in director's absence
  • Ensures service standards are being applied by all team members
  • Ensures cleanliness and safety of the outlet
  • Promotes high associate morale
  • Recommends discipline and/or termination when appropriate
  • Assists with the coaching and counseling of team
  • Assists with completing performance reviews
  • Responsible for the achievement of department goals and objectives
  • Assists the Food & Beverage Outlet with continual training
  • Resolves guest issues promptly and with great care and effectiveness
  • Maintains a strong knowledge of food & beverage trends
  • Provides general resort information for guests
  • Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Sunriver Resort including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guest
  • Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events
  • Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information
  • Up sells other resort services and amenities to guests
  • Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude
  • Communicates all pertinent information to the team
  • Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons). Reports all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor.
  • Ensures proper handling, cleaning and sanitation of equipment, china, glass and
  • Follows through on lost and found procedures. No articles shall be removed from occupied rooms. Absolute respect for guest property should always be exercised.
  • Report any needed repairs immediately to supervisor (such as leaky faucets or toilets, loose tile, broken window panes, missing nuts or screws, ).
  • Reports to work on time and according to posted schedule, maintains accurate time records and follows proper standards for issuance of rooms
  • Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Sunriver Resort dress code standards
  • Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all time
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Oversite of Quarry pool and supervision of pool staff

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least one year Food & Beverage experience required
  • At least one year of customer service experience required
  • At least one year of supervisory experience preferred
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred
  • Two or four year degree in hospitality related field preferred
  • At least six months POS system experience preferred
  • Prior cash handling experience required
  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have valid driver's license and meet resort driving standards
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Must have excellent basic math skills
  • Must possess valid OLCC card upon hire
  • Must possess valid Food Handler's card upon hire
  • Must be able to stand and walk throughout the shift
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 25lbs at shoulder height and push/pull up to75lbs
  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently; squeezing and overhead reaching occasionally
