The Purchasing Specialist is a critical member of the resort’s operations team, responsible for receiving, distributing, and organizing all incoming deliveries and supplies. This highly physical, fast-paced role requires exceptional communication skills and close coordination with multiple departments to ensure timely delivery of products and materials throughout the resort. Receive and inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality.
Deliver packages, equipment, and food & beverage supplies to various departments across the resort in a timely manner.
Communicate with department heads to understand specific delivery needs and prioritize urgent requests.
Stock inventory rooms, storage areas, and coolers according to par levels and safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of receiving areas, loading docks, and storage spaces.
Monitor and log inventory movement and discrepancies; assist with regular inventory counts.
Assist with returns, vendor pickups, and coordination of outgoing shipments.
Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and resort vehicles safely and efficiently.
Follow all resort safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and safe handling of products.
Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager to ensure timely ordering and restocking of resort supplies.
Prior experience in purchasing, receiving, or warehouse/logistics preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—must be comfortable interacting with multiple departments daily.
Ability to follow directions, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle high-volume deliveries.
Basic computer skills required (inventory software and email).
Valid driver’s license may be required depending on resort logistics needs.
Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 lbs consistently throughout shift.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs.
Ability to work in a variety of conditions, including outdoor weather and refrigerated storage areas.
Must be able to move quickly and efficiently through large resort grounds.
Comfortable operating manual and motorized equipment safely.
