The Complex Esthetician provides exceptional skincare treatments and guest care across both properties, delivering high-touch, customized services while supporting overall spa excellence.

 

Job Summary:

 

The Complex Esthetician is responsible for performing a variety of professional skin care treatments and waxing services to guests at both Black Desert Resort and Red Mountain Resort. This dual-property role offers the opportunity to work in two distinct spa settings while promoting overall guest wellness, education, and relaxation. The ideal candidate is guest-focused, technically skilled, and flexible with scheduling and location.

 

Job Specifications:

 

Work Location: Black Desert Resort & Red Mountain Resort
Shift & Schedule Availability: Year-Round / Full-Time or Part-Time
Pay Rate: $10/Hr + Commission + Service Charges. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors. With total compensation estimated to average out to be around $28-$38/hr.

Responsibilities

  • Perform facials, peels, and other advanced skincare treatments in accordance with resort protocols and licensing guidelines
  • Customize each service to meet guest goals and educate them on aftercare and recommended retail products
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of resort treatments, skincare brands, protocols, and industry trends
  • Ensure all treatment rooms are clean, organized, stocked, and sanitized before and after each service
  • Use spa software systems to document treatments, preferences, and notes accurately
  • Promote retail sales by recommending products aligned with each guest’s skin care needs
  • Provide wellness-related education and encourage the use of other resort spa amenities and services
  • Maintain client confidentiality and uphold all professional and ethical standards
  • Work collaboratively with spa teams at both resorts and assist in maintaining spa readiness and overall guest satisfaction
  • Travel between resort locations as needed based on demand and scheduling

Qualifications

  • Valid Utah Esthetician or Master Esthetician License (required)
  • 1–2 years of experience in a resort, spa, or medical esthetics setting preferred
  • Proficiency in customized facial techniques, waxing, and advanced skincare products
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with spa service standards
  • Reliable transportation to travel between properties
  • Familiarity with spa software (e.g., Mindbody, SpaSoft, or Book4Time) is a plus
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
