Overview

CoralTree Hospitality is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to lead a world-class hospitality management organization’s acquisition and third-party management contract growth efforts. We have committed resources in our business development and management team to match our committed institutional capital and management contract expansion targets to plan for our growth. This position will interface through our entire Hospitality Group platform in achieving organization wide goals.

 

Our ideal candidate will have successfully led a hospitality business development function through a growth cycle building value for all constituents. This leader will have had deep experience and involvement in the business transaction efforts and in maintaining key owner/client relationships. The individual will have had exposure building a business utilizing a combination of direct reporting influence and personal ownership, coupled with cross-functional access to shared services and working across company lines to achieve results.

Responsibilities

Sourcing and securitization of new management contracts:

  • Actively source and secure new hospitality management contracts as a component of our growth strategy targeting at minimum of 4 transactions annually. Target criteria includes annualized fees in excess of $300,000 with a strategy focused on independent, non-branded assets (resorts, urban, highly amenitized suburban).
  • Assist the condo hotel and resort, residential community platforms in achieving organic growth of their businesses through providing sourcing leads, contract support and platform relationships, yielding a higher number of rental units under management in one of our established markets or adjacent markets.

 

Acquisition of Hospitality Assets and other on behalf of Lowe, CoralTree:

  • Play a direct role in sourcing, identifying, underwriting and leading hotel and resort acquisitions consistent with capital and investment strategies for Lowe.
  • Work closely with individual owners, institutional investors/owners and brokers to ensure CoralTree Hospitality is made aware and actively considered in the transaction of key assets that meet our organizational growth strategies and investment goals. Ensure relationships are such that, CoralTree Hospitality is given a “last look” in deals based on our performance track record and personal relationships
  • Collaborate with Lowe to leverage the organization’s strong balance sheet and to grow through acquisitions of strategic assets
  • Participate in the Lowe and CoralTree Investment Committee.

 

Assist in securing, cultivating and leveraging capital relationships:

  • Actively build Lowe and CoralTree management and investment brand through attendance and prominent leadership roles at key events, speaking engagements, boards and associations (e.g. NYU Conference, ALIS, ULI, etc.).
  • Serve as a key relationship between the Company and multiple property ownership entities.

 

Actively participate, lead and collaborate with CoralTree and Lowe leadership in underwriting and investment thesis, analysis and metrics:

  • Complete thorough market analysis, feasibility, and underwriting for acquisitions and third-party management opportunities for CoralTree and Lowe.
  • Collaborate with CoralTree executives and management resources to leverage collective knowledge to more accurately achieve underwriting.
  • Negotiate, administer and execute management agreements with ownership groups.

 

Enhance collaboration across the Lowe organization:

  • Leverage relationships and performance to assist in supporting capital raise initiatives and other business expansion opportunities.
  • Find opportunities for collaboration and continued partnership with all entities of Lowe Enterprises by building relationships with key functions and leaders across the company.
  • Continue to support the evolution of Lowe-RE as an integrated organization across the entire portfolio.
  • Create and support strategic alignment between company, division, property and individual goals which equate to mutually defined success.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Expert proficiency in hotel real estate valuation, finance, feasibility or investments.
  • Strong experience leading business development initiatives during high growth periods.
  • Ability to travel at least 50%.

Salary range: $225,000 - $275,000 + lucrative bonus potential

Location: Home Office, Englewood, CO
