Overview

The Pastry Shop Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the pastry department to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, and smooth workflow.  This role includes supervising staff, maintaining hygiene standards, monitoring inventory, and assisting in pastry preparation for banquets and outlets. Pay Rate $23.00 #towncountrysd 

Responsibilities

  • Supervise pastry cooks to ensure efficient production and on time execution for all events.
  • Maintain high standards of product quality, presentation, and customer service.
  • Ensure all pastries and baked goods are prepared and plated according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and minimize waste.
  • Oversee cleanliness and organization of the pastry shop and workstations.
  • Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally.
  • Assist with developing new pastry items and seasonal offerings.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and occupational health standards.
  • Report performance, incidents, or issues to upper management.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a pastry or bakery setting, with some leadership or supervisory background.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry and baking techniques.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Attention to detail and high standards for cleanliness and presentation.
  • Culinary or pastry certification (preferred but not required).

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced food production and retail environment.
  • Requires standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 lbs.
