Join the team at Sunriver Resort’s Cove Aquatic Center as a Pool Ambassador and be the friendly face that helps our guests soak up the sun in style! If you're all about creating unforgettable experiences, love the water, and thrive in a fun, fast-paced environment—this is the job for you!The Pool Ambassador assists all positions at the Cove as needed while ensuring the facility is left clean for the next business day. Provides a high quality guest experience by monitoring food running and table bussing, cleanliness of the pool deck, and readiness of the facility before, during and after service hours.

 

The Ambassador will always conduct them self in a manner that supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort: Trust, Open & Honest Communication, and Commitment. The Ambassador shall strive to provide exceptional service to our pool guests at all times. S/he will be responsible for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture as well as promoting Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!

Responsibilities

  • Delivers food to the guests at their specified location in a timely manner
  • Plans and coordinates flow of guests at the Cove
  • Greets incoming guests
  • Cleans and resets lounge chairs and dining area as needed- opens\closes umbrellas daily
  • Ensures guests are comfortable and welcome if required to wait
  • Responding to guests’ questions in a professional manner
  • Maximizes the seating of the Cove
  • Assists servers, bussers and bartenders with guest inquiries and/or clearing lounge chairs
  • Completes all assigned side-work, obtaining MOD or Supervisor approval when complete
  • Informs server and bar of any potential guest issues
  • Remove soiled towels as guests are complete with them, changing towel bins regularly
  • Prep Cabanas for each guest and clean out end of night
  • Assists servers with monitoring lounge chairs for customer satisfaction, quality and additional service
  • Maintains water service station, garbage removal and food service condiments
  • Provides general resort information for guests
  • Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Sunriver Resort including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guest
  • Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events
  • Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information
  • Up sells other resort services and amenities to guests
  • Addresses any guest issue promptly and with concern
  • Offers guests assistance with resort directions, activity suggestions, etc.
  • Provides assistance to pool staff as needed
  • Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons) reporting all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor
  • Acts with responsibility towards all company property, supplies and equipment
  • Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Sunriver Resort dress code standards
  • Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all times
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school education preferred
  • Prior food and beverage experience preferred
  • At least six months customer service experience preferred
  • Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
  • Must possesses excellent communication skills
  • Must be professional in appearance and demeanor
  • Must always ensure a teamwork environment
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must have excellent listening skills
  • Must have or be able to obtain prior to start date a valid OLCC card, Food Handlers Card
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to stand on feet and walk throughout the day,
  • Must be able to climb stairs and walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis;
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder height,
