The Maintenance Engineer (I, II) is a key member of our Engineering team, responsible for completing work orders and preventive maintenance tasks related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and other facility operations. This hands-on role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and maintaining mechanical and structural systems throughout a 671-room resort with 295,000 sq. ft. of meeting space. Respond promptly to guest room, event space, and facility maintenance work orders
Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, and fixture replacement
Perform basic electrical work such as outlet/switch replacement, light fixture repairs, and circuit checks
Conduct minor painting, drywall patching, and surface touch-ups across property
Inspect and troubleshoot commercial/industrial equipment (e.g., pumps, water heaters, motors)
Collaborate with contractors and vendors as needed for specialized repairs
Assist with pool equipment maintenance and outdoor lighting
Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on all systems
Ensure work complies with local safety regulations and internal SOPs
Accurately complete logs, checklists, and shift reports using HotSOS or maintenance software
Communicate effectively with fellow engineers, supervisors, and other departments
Participate in emergency response efforts during system failures or weather-related issues
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in building maintenance or hotel facilities
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC, and mechanical systems
Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Experience using work order systems (e.g., HotSOS) preferred
Must have a flexible schedule including weekends and Holidays.
Must be able to lift, push, and carry up to 75 lbs regularly
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs/ladders throughout shift
Must be comfortable working in confined spaces, rooftop areas, and indoor/outdoor environments
Must be able to use hand tools and machinery for extended periods
Ability to work in varying temperatures, including heat and cold
