Compensation: $25 - $28 an hour. The position is based in Wailea, HI, but some travel to the westside may be required on occasion.

Responsibilities

As an integral part of our HR team, the HR Coordinator plays a crucial role in providing support and assistance to all team members.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate care and concern for our team members (malama) and embody our company value of Service from the Heart.

The HR Coordinator’s primary focus will be managing the recruitment and hiring process of our four Maui locations and our locations on Hawaii Island and Kauai.  This includes updating job descriptions, posting, and advertising open positions, reviewing, and forwarding resumes to hiring managers, conducting screening interviews with candidates, making offers of employment, and onboarding new hires. It's a dynamic role that requires a proactive and organized approach. 

The Human Resources Coordinator will assist in daily HR functions in a busy office. This will include maintaining team member electronic files, tracking, and monitoring the expiration of team member required certifications. The HR Coordinator will also be involved in team member events and recognition.

Qualifications

  • Previous human resources, recruitment or hospitality experience is a plus.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills are needed to succeed in this role. 
  • Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite. Confident in computer skills and quickly able to learn new systems as needed. 
  • A candidate who values responsibility and desires to learn and grow will make a solid addition to the team.
