The Revenue Manager is integral to the success of the Hotel's Revenue Management team. The position will report to the Director of Revenue Strategy and act as the on-property revenue support for the Resort. This position’s responsibilities will include optimizing guestroom sales through producing and analyzing reports and assisting in the maintenance, organization, and distribution of data, inventory, and pricing strategies.

Responsibilities

Systems Management, Technology, and Reporting

  • Responsible for Rate, Promotion and Package loading in Opera PMS, SynXis Booking Engine, and other connected channels; and relevant distribution to operating departments
  • Accurate preparation and distribution of daily, weekly, monthly revenue reports. The reports include market segmentation analysis, production reports, rate audits, pace reports, source contribution analysis, daily pick-up reports, revenue penetration index, KPI’s, etc.
  • Maintain reports to ensure property rates and restrictions are in alignment with overall demand, market pricing, hotel inventory, and rate parity across all distribution channels
  • Performs frequent uploads to database(s) to maintain data accuracy on daily and weekly basis pertaining to database and business need
  • Manage OTA, SynXis, and other connected channels to ensure rate parity, inventory availability, yield controls and content are accurate to current strategies
  • Perform audits and maintenance on all systems such as PMS, CRS, RMS, BI Systems to ensure content and information is correct
  • Coordinate competitive pricing checks, including packages and promotions
  • Review end of month room-statistics reports and provide critical analysis on performance vs. forecasts and results of implemented strategies.
  • Conducts displacement analysis of group business as needed to determine the impact potential business will have on RevPAR and/or TrevPAR
  • On an annual basis, participate in the constructing of the business plan, provide guidance to the mix of business, ADR, rate positioning, and overall revenue and penetration strategies.

Revenue Optimization

  • Work jointly with the property Revenue Leaders, Sales Leaders, Commercial Strategy team to analyze findings of daily metrics to assist in implementing a results-driven action plan
  • Review and analyze reports such as, STR, CBRE, Travelclick, and other measurement tools and present revenue opportunities and aid in effectively pricing units
  • Maintains Group and Transient inventory controls, working collaboratively with Front Office & Reservations Departments to provide effective guidance in room blocking strategies
  • Assist in the implementation of all blackout dates and/or restricted dates and review frequently to determine if adjustments are needed
  • Work jointly with the property Commercial Strategy team to analyze findings of daily metrics to assist in implementing a results-driven action plan
  • Utilize key reports (STR, TravelClick, OTA insights, Ideas G3, Datavision) to aid in effectively pricing units.
  • Participate in group evaluation process to guide group inventory and rates based on key factors such as rooms/space ratio, pattern, ancillary contribution, etc. for the group sales team to utilize for a minimum period of twelve-eighteen months at all times.
  • Analyze past and present trends and makes recommendations for future strategies.
  • Review and update daily MAR rates as required under the guidance of the Director of Revenue and/or Director of Sales to ensure optimal use by sales team.

Leadership

  • Ability to effectively communicate challenges that arise in either property performance or processes to the DOR, CMO and property Commercial Strategy team.
  • Be able to influence change and demonstrate a sense of accountability and level of comfort during interactions with key stakeholders at the property level and corporate level
  • Promote a revenue focused community on-property by taking ownership and accountability of the reports produced
  • Develop and maintain a positive rapport with partners such as market managers of utilized distribution channels, to build a strong, mutually beneficial partnership.
  • Understand the resort’s defined competitive market and defined comp sets and their relevance to each hotel/resort based on current/future market conditions and industry changes and fluctuations
  • Work with Front Office team in the absence of other Revenue Leaders to ensure agreed sell-out strategies are in place

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
  • Develop and maintain a positive rapport with all internal associates/managers
  • Special Projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Ideal candidate would also possess intermediate to advance knowledge of key sales and revenue systems (Opera PMS, Configuration, OXI, and Utilities, SynXis Booking Engine, Amadeus, Datavision, Ideas G3, Bookingpal, and other revenue management/sales related systems).
  • Strong written and oral skills
  • Strong technical and analytical skillset required
  • Possesses the ability to manage IT tickets, build rate codes, and produce + validate reports
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Willingness to travel 1-2 overnight trips a year for continuing education programs
  • Understanding of lead generation and sales practices
  • Experience managing projects independently and presenting conclusions to fellow team members, property Commercial Strategy teams, and Regional support teams.
  • Comprehensive understanding of demand evaluation and effective pricing
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Hospitality, with 1 year experience in a leadership role

Experience, Education, & Licensure:

  • 2+ years of on-property hotel revenue management and e-commerce discipline focus
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Bachelor degree with hospitality and/or e-commerce specialization preferred, but not required
  • Certified Revenue Management is preferred, but not required

Compensation:

Base Pay Start Rate: $70,000/ Yr - $85,000 / Yr
