Proactively identify, solicit, and secure group business opportunities across deployed market segments
· Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, site visits, and personalized service.
· Prepare and present tailored proposals and contracts that align with client needs and hotel revenue goals.
· Collaborate with internal departments (catering/conference services, operations, accounting) to ensure seamless execution of group events.
· Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline updates in the CRM system.
· Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.
· Represent Magnolia Omaha at trade shows, networking events, and industry functions.
· Provide regular sales performance updates and insights to the Director of Sales.
Qualifications
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel group sales or event sales, preferably in a full-service hotel environment.
· Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
· Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
· Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and hotel sales software. Experience in Marriott’s CI/TY platform is a distinct advantage for this role.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
· Professional demeanor and commitment to delivering outstanding service.
· Flexibility to travel for client meetings and industry events as needed.
· Experience within the Omaha market is a plus!
