Overview

Spa concierges are responsible for creating the ultimate guest experience for each guest that honors us with their presence.  

 

The Spa Concierge will always conduct themself in a professional manner with a demeanor that supports the purpose and values (supporting behaviors) at Suncadia. 

 

The Concierge shall always strive to provide exceptional service to both internal/external guests and colleagues. They will be responsible for exemplifying the Suncadia Resort Culture as well as promoting Suncadia Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice! 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 
 

  • Provide a professional and friendly attitude to all customers and employees. 
  • Greeting guests into the Spa, answering all incoming calls, scheduling appointments and collecting payment for services. 
  • Maintaining cleanliness and the presentation of the spa including all hydrotherapy/pool stations. 
  • Scheduling individual and group services. 
  • Check guest in and out effectively in Spa Soft; 
  • Meet guest needs: sanctuary, locker rooms, and the pools. 
  • Work directly with food and beverage to take orders and deliver spa cuisine. 
  • Knowledge of retail products and services offered in the Spa and Resort . 
  • Maintain a cash bank effectively. 
  • On time attendance and dress code required. 
  • Make sure facility and company assets are kept secure at all times. 
  • Maintain equipment and facilities in working, sanitary, and orderly condition (in accordance with county health regulations and OSHA) 
  • Comply with all Suncadia policies, procedures, and safety regulations.   
  • Always going above and beyond to exceed the guests expectations. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Respond and interact with all colleagues, leaders, vendors and guests in a professional manner assisting with all relevant information requests; 
  • Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all colleagues, leaders, vendors and guests of Suncadia Resort including use of name & good eye contact with each. Be alert and Courteous at all times. 
  • Remain alert and maintain an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities, events, hours of operations etc. by daily review of the Yapp App and other communication tools; 
  • Up sell Suncadia Resort’s services and amenities to guests; 
  • Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons) and reports all safety incidents to on-duty leader.   
  • Colleagues must communicate any workplace accident/incident to a leader within 24 hours of the event; 
  • Follows the required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing, or moving of objects/materials and/or the cleanup of blood, infectious materials, or body fluids containing blood in accordance with the OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen StandardsColleagues not properly trained in the removal of Blood-borne Pathogens should immediately report the need for clean up to their department leadership and schedule training for future incidents;   
  • Acts with responsibility towards all company property, supplies and equipment;  
  • Maintains a professional appearance by following all Suncadia Resort standards with regard to Dress/Uniform Code, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Hygiene, Grooming and nametag requirements. 

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: 
 

  • High school graduate or GED 
  • Excellent organization and time management skills  
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written required 
  • Good interpersonal skills required 
  • Excellent listening skills required 
  • The ability to work well in a team; adaptable and flexible 
  • Remain calm and professional under stress; maintain a positive attitude 
  • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations. 
  • Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system. 
  • Minimum 1-year experience as Spa Receptionist/Scheduler in salon and/or hotel/resort property preferred.  
  • Spa Soft experience preferred.
