This position will provide leadership, support, direction and supervision of staff in the daily operations of the Spa in coordination with the Spa Director; including, but not limited to staff training, retail, group spa bookings, providing adequate staffing levels, managing staff  to ensure proper coverage, establishing and maintaining high level of customer service based on Suncadia Resort and Spa guiding principles and culture. Incumbent will be responsible for financial management’s duties including: budgeting, forecasting, payroll and scheduling, as well as product inventory and ordering.

Salary: $25.00 - $29.00/hour DOE. Position is classified as an Overtime Eligible Manager, with a targeted annual salary range of $58,500.00 - $67,850.00 DOE based on a 45-hour work week.

• Must have a working understanding of Resort culture and vision.
• Must be able to handle pressure situations with ease.
• Responsible for reviewing daily forecasts and budget as well as reviewing daily sales to be sure to be in align with projected revenues.
• Assist Spa Director in implementing strategic and tactical plans to achieve departmental financial budgeting goals and expectations.
• Participates in weekly meetings and functions.
• Responsible for timeliness of administrative duties and group contracts.
• Assist in ensuring cleanliness of public spa areas to include spa retail, treatment rooms, storage areas and product storage.
• Responsible for coordination and execution of spa packages.
• Primary contact for all Group business and sales activity working directly with Suncadia Conference Services and Sales and externally with DMC’s and other sales arenas (ie: concierges, wedding planners, etc).
• Attend group pre-con meetings as requested.
• Coordinates and executes all group activity regarding spa to include booking spa appointments, follow-up with group contact, and billing
• Interview and select excellent staff to create a leading service and treatment presentation.
• Assists Spa Director with scheduling of spa associates, performance evaluations and disciplinary procedures.
• Direct, train and maintain high level of job satisfaction/morale/teamwork among associates in their respective areas of responsibility;
• Create and follow all financial planning
• Assists Spa Concierges with spa reservations, guest check –in and other spa coordinator duties when needed.
• Assist other areas in supervisory fashion as needed.
• Assist Spa Director in determining marketing strategies based on sales activity
• Participates in updating and creating Spa menu.
• Promotes and champions resort culture and guiding principles, leads this process on an ongoing basis.
• Seeks continued self-development opportunities.
• Display and model managerial etiquette.
• Ensures that associates meet all department dress & grooming standards.
• Provide continual direction and training regarding standards for guest service, treatment rooms and product knowledge.
• Act as liaison between internal and external departments.

• Available to take guests when needed

• Prefer 2 - 3 years of experience in Spa Management or hospitality industry
• Minimum 1-2 years of previous supervisory experience
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Retail purchasing and inventory knowledge
• Prefer experience with revenue and expense management
• Prefer Spa Soft experience
• Strong customer service orientation/member and guest relation’s skills
• Attention to detail and high standards of quality and cleanliness
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Interpersonal, communication and listening skills – with both external and internal customers
