Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Banquet Manager to lead our Banquets team and oversee the seamless execution of meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events. As the Banquet Manager, you will ensure exceptional guest experiences, drive operational excellence, and manage all aspects of banquet service.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day banquet operations, including planning, staffing, setup, service execution, and breakdown.

  • Supervise and train banquet captains, servers, and bartenders to uphold high standards of service and professionalism.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Catering, Culinary, and Event teams to ensure smooth coordination and flawless event delivery.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

  • Maintain inventory and control costs related to labor, equipment, and supplies.

  • Anticipate and respond to guest needs, resolving issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.

  • Lead pre-shift meetings and post-event debriefs to ensure continuous improvement.

  • Manage labor schedules and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of banquet or event operations management experience in a full-service hotel, resort, or conference center.

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.

  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

  • Knowledge of banquet service styles (buffet, plated, reception, etc.) and A/V coordination is a plus.

  • Familiarity with POS systems and event management software preferred.
