Overview

SUMMARY.

This position will provide leadership, support, direction and supervision of staff in the daily

operations of the Spa in coordination with the Spa Manager and Spa Director; including, but not limited to staff training, retail, group spa bookings, providing adequate staffing levels, managing staff to ensure proper coverage, establishing and maintaining high level of customer service based on Suncadia Resort and Spa guiding principles and culture.

Responsibilities

Must have a working understanding of Resort culture and vision.

· Must be able to handle pressure situations with ease.

· Participates in weekly meetings and functions.

· Responsible for timeliness of administrative duties and group contracts.

· Assist in ensuring cleanliness of public spa areas to include spa retail, treatment

· rooms, storage areas and product storage.

· Primary contact for all Group business and sales activity working directly with

Suncadia Conference Services and Sales and externally with DMC’s and other sales arenas (ie: concierges, wedding planners, etc).

· Attend group pre-con meetings as requested.

· Coordinates and executes all group activity regarding spa to include booking spa appointments, follow-up with group contact, and billing.

· Assist in interviewing and select excellent front desk staff to create a leading service and treatment presentation.

· Assists Spa Manager and Spa Director with scheduling of spa associates, performance evaluations and disciplinary procedures.

· Direct, train and maintain high level of job satisfaction/morale/teamwork among associates in their respective areas of responsibility.

· Assists Spa Concierges with spa reservations, guest check –in and other spa coordinator duties when needed.

· Assist other areas in supervisory fashion as needed.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Prefer 2 - 3 years of experience in spa or hospitality industry;

· Retail purchasing and inventory knowledge;

· Prefer Spa Soft experience

· Strong customer service orientation/member and guest relation’s skills;

· Attention to detail and high standards of quality and cleanliness;

· Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;

· Interpersonal, communication and listening skills – with both external and internal

· customers.

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred;

· Fluency in job related English, both verbal and non-verbal.

 

· WORKING CONDITIONS: Ability to stand for long periods of time.

· Must be able to personally lift up to 40 lbs. on a frequent basis.

· Must be able to occasionally lift over 40 lbs. with assistance.

· Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces and reach on a continuous basis.
