Overview

The Engineering Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining all buildings and equipment throughout the property. This role will contribute to the organization as an active business partner that is responsible for supporting the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values. The schedule would be Wednesday-Friday 12:00 pm to 8 pm Saturday and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm. 

Responsibilities

Major areas of responsibility/ management include, but are not limited to:

  • Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests.
  • Communicate with different types of people to comprehend what they want and to provide them with information and assistance.
  • Check for new maintenance requests from Alice and update remarks once the task is completed.
  • Update the maintenance work orders and complete.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment using proper tools.
  • Preform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
  • Ability to work under pressure situations and exercise good judgements.
  • Ability to focus attention on details, speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information.
  • Ability to ensure security of guest room access and hotel property.
  • Ability to read and understand test equipment, measuring devices, and safety manuals.
  • Perform maintenance activities in guest room and hotel public areas like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, plumbing and electrical equipment and cosmetic items. 
  • To be available for any emergencies and act in an engineering capacity to protect guests and associates and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency.
  • Carry out specific oral and written instructions.
  • Maintain maintenance inventory, parts, and supplies by communicating with management as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Chief Engineer.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with maintenance and engineering
  • Experience with Guest Service
  • Ability to communicate clearly and speak, read, write and understand English Preferred
  • Hotel experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn various property specific software applications

Pay $20-$22hr
