We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic HVAC HELPER to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort opening team!

Reporting to the Chief Engineer you will manage and provide comfort, safety, and luxury standards of the hotel through expert management of all heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.

• Assist HVAC Technician with installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems and components.
• Take ownership of the HVAC preventive maintenance program, ensuring all equipment is serviced according to the manufacturer’s specifications and hotel standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and performance tests on equipment to ensure continued operation and efficiency.
• Respond to guest concerns and service calls regarding HVAC issues promptly to maintain comfort and satisfaction.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance work performed, parts used, and repairs completed.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and codes related to HVAC system operation and maintenance.
• Manage inventory of HVAC supplies and tools, ensuring availability of necessary materials for tasks.
• Collaborate with other maintenance team members and departments to coordinate repairs and contribute to team projects.
• Perform general maintenance and support tasks as directed.
• Participate in regular safety drills and training, maintaining readiness for hotel emergencies.
• Follow instructions from Engineering Management.

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in HVAC systems preferred but not required.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in HVAC operations, preferably in a luxury hotel or similar high-standard facility.
• Basic knowledge on maintenance; proficient in using industry-standard tools and diagnostic equipment; problem-solving and communication skills.
• EPA certification preferred but not required; for handling refrigerants; familiarity with building management systems.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks; capable of lifting heavy equipment and working in varied environmental conditions.
