The Galleria Park Hotel has begun a search for a Bell/ Valet Attendant The ideal candidate is a service oriented individual who is passionate about guest services and team work. Given that we are a 24/7 business, our candidate must be able to work AM, PM (swing) and weekend shifts.

You will be the first to welcome and the last to encourage the return of all guests and visitors. You will provide assistance to guests upon arrival to the curb and connect our customers with our guest services team.

 

Hourly Rate: $24.00 plus tips, we also offer a digital tipping platform to our hotel guests payable each pay period. 

Responsibilities

 

  • Enthusiastically open doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving property.
  • Inform guests of property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activities.
  • Transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and/or designated bell area. Assist with luggage storage and retrieval.
  • Assist all guests arriving by car, taxi or limousine by opening the car door and helping to unload luggage.  Extreme care and proper loading habits for protection of guest property should be taken when trolleys are in use
  • Maintain post outside front doors at all times.
  • Assist all guests in obtaining a taxi or limousine and, if necessary, assist with loading of luggage.
  • Keep area swept and clear of litter at all times.  
  • When needed check and uncheck luggage for guests.
  • Provide directions, maps and other information as requested, about the immediate and surrounding areas. 
  • Maintain a clear roadway directly in front of the hotel entrance.
  • Direct delivery packages coming I into the hotel to the appropriate entrance
  • Keep an umbrella in an accessible area at all times to assist guests in and out of cars during inclement weather, including escorting guests to their parked vehicles.
  • Take initiative to go beyond the ordinary to resolve guest complaints and create loyalty. 
  • Share stories of personal experiences and provide recommendations brochures, maps, and collateral on guest activities, attractions, and places of interest.

 

 

Qualifications

Valid (state) driver’s license. Good driving record. Flexibility. This is a demanding business and we look for flexibility with work days and hours, but it’s also a lot of fun! Experience. Previous experience passionately providing service to others and driving all types of vehicles. People Person. The best part of serving others is creating experiences for them that go beyond the expected. Great communicator. Providing amazing experiences requires the ability to communicate fluently in English both verbally and through legible writing A qualified applicant is a “people person” who is flexible with their schedule, loves to serve others, and has an impeccable driving history.
