S/he is responsible for providing support in maintaining the cleanliness of guest rooms, corridors, housekeeping storage, linen closets, and other assigned areas. This position is responsible for directing and overseeing the entire food service operations throughout the property and overall leadership in the creative development and quality assurance of culinary operations. This includes directing product conceptualization, menu engineering, recipe development, item costing, concept testing, product specification development/sourcing, implementation of new menus, and ongoing quality assurance processes and systems.
This position is responsible for oversight of the kitchen staff who prepare, cook, and garnish meals for hotel guests and patrons. The Lead Cook will provide leadership and guidance to the shift staff and also will work on the hot or cold line as needed. With focus on quality and production levels, this position will assist the culinary team with their mission to exceed customers’ expectations related to food quality and dining experience.
